Miami County is also home to one of just 21 U.S. national water trails, the Great Miami River Watershed Water Trail, which includes 291 miles of paddling, fishing, and wildlife watching opportunities on three beautiful rivers and many smaller tributaries.
 
Education is a priority in Miami County. Our eight public school districts educate nearly 18,000 students, with post-secondary and supplemental options available through the Western Ohio Japanese Language School, the Upper Valley Career Center, Edison State Community College, and the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology.
